So it was another Indian batting performance that saw them through. It is India's 6th ODI series and they are unbeaten this year. Will this strong batting line-up be able to cope with the South African pace attack on bouncy pitches? We will get to know soon. The first ODI starts on 5th December. Joins for all the action. Until then take care! Bye! Bye!
Dhoni: 'Well I think it was fantastic. I thought we bowled really well and did well to restrict them. We were a bit unlucky as the edges were not carrying. I felt that 260 was a below par score. There are plenty of positives. The death bowling against Australia was not working but today it was a big improvement. Rohit and Shikhar have given us good starts. Virat has been batting well and whatever is left the lower order finishes it off.'
Kohli: 'Trying to make most of the form I am in. Just trying to do the right things and get the basics right. An important month coming up in South Africa so looking forward. I try to make the most of the form I am in because when the form dips you can't score many. We three (himself, Rohit and Dhawan) have scored around 1500 runs and MS comes down and finishes off the games.'
Kohli is the Man of the Series for a series aggregate of 204 runs.
Dhawan: 'It has been a great year for me. Thanks to God. I have been used to playing on such tracks. I was getting out after getting starts so wanted to convert it today. Happy with the performance and the team is also winning. So looking forward to the South African series.'
Dhawan is the Man of the Match for his 119 off 95 balls.
Bravo: 'I think we did well with the bat. It was an average score as it was a two paced wicket. The batsmen did well. Powell, Darren, Samuels and Sammy batted well. The bowlers should have done much better to defend the target. We lost crucial wickets in the middle. Simmons and me got out at the wrong time and we were 20 runs short. It is a strong Indian batting line-up. There are a lot of positives. We played some good cricket against the best team. Rampaul and Narine were excellent throughout.' |
